TerraServer: http://terraserver.microsoft.com Provides viewers with access to "terabytes" of data using slow speed telecommunication lines and simple computer designs such as PCs and web browsers. Instead of presenting images in their original large format, TerraServer divides the images into small tiles that can be retrieved over the Internet. Developed cooperatively by the USGS and Microsoft.
